Meet Rachel
I'm a middle child with a natural lean toward creating a world that works for everyone. I'm a compassionate and creative HR leader with extensive experience building and leading the People function at growth stage organizations. I'm drawn to disruptive, innovative workplaces with a mission to serve the world in transformative ways.

I've always felt the tug between head and heart when it comes to my career. That used to be hard. It didn't seem like there was a way to be true to my head and heart at work.

It got easier over the years - I found ways to integrate my passions by drawing upon my creativity, compassionate heart, and sense of adventure. And now, to see the way the world is evolving, it feels like all of those experiences have prepared me for the precise business environment we're living in. I lead teams and approach my work with a commitment to being "more human at work", an advocate for mental health and wellness as a foundation for success.

I graduated Marquette University with a B.S. in International Business. I received a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation from the International Coach Federation, and will complete a 2 year mindfulness meditation teacher certification in February 2025 from Sounds True & Greater Good Science Center UC Berkeley. I created Rest & Root, a 2-day retreat for women inspired by my personal experience with insomnia and burnout. I most recently served as the Vice President of People at DermTech, and am currently enrolled in UC Berkeley's Transformative Chief Human Resource Officer program.

I enjoy spending my free time with my two incredible kids, hiking, running, finding new recipes to try, and plotting my next travel adventure.
